Target raises Minimum Wage to $11

Target is following Walmart’s lead and has decided to raise the minimum wage for all Target entry level employees to 11.00 per hour and up to 15.00 per hour by year 2020.

It’s a big step for the retailer as it competes with other retailers to find more quality employees and retain them rather than letting them out to other retail companies that pay more to lure them. It’s a step in the right direction for Target who has had their own share of lack luster performance in all sectors and this one big move will help them get the team they need to slowly compete with Amazon as they expand and hire more and pay much higher for a starting wage than many big companies in the same markets.
