Walmart, the biggest retailer ever has had its issues with pay wage. Many associates, unions and other groups have complained about Walmarts low pay wage. Just recently, fast food workers had a huge strike that got media attention. Many employees cannot afford to live on the wage that many big companies are providing them. With the cost of healthcare, food prices, general living as gone up dramatically, it makes harder for many employees to afford basic things that are needed.
Many families are living paycheck to paycheck, and these wages are not helping them at all. Hopefully in the future, many retailers including Walmart change or try to change to compete with the living prices steadily going up.
