Retail store walmart is opening a concept store at the arizona college campus. It will be include the basics, it is a small test store. It will include pharmacy, general food items, and other items towards college students. This is a great idea from Walmart, they are already doing other smaller stores in small towns called Neighborhood market’s. Walmart is trying to get into all the neighborhood’s. No the retailer is even coming close to what they are doing. It is amazing to watch Walmart grow slower these day’s, but they are still growing.

The biggest retailer Walmart already has over 400 retail stores in Japan. But Walmart, with no real comments on if they will or not, acquire other stores to compete in Japan. In last couple of months after the earthquake, sales have improved and Walmart is playing with the idea to acquire local retail chains to further hold the Japan retail market.

Retail Giant Wal-mart has gone back to basics so to speak, Wal-Mart Stores Inc is launching a campaign early next month called “It’s. Back,” It’s their way of telling customer that despite its recent efforts of removing certain items in what can only be described as a floored renovation effort. From early May Wal-Mart will herald the return of items such as fishing tackle, fabric items and other so called “heritage” items. The store removed these items from their outlets in a failed attempt of sprucing up the store’s image with upmarket shoppers and the general perception of the cliental it targets.

While it’s been a long time since the devastating quake rocked Haiti, it was just announced that up to 20,000 jobs will be created at new industrial park in Haiti. It comes from a garment giant based in Korea that plans on building what will be the country’s first fabric mill. It is expected to not only bring some form of stability to the Haiti people, but also bring some economic certainty to the volatile region where unemployment is devastatingly high. The Company which is a major supplier to U.S. retailer’s Target, Wal-Mart, Kohl’s and GAP, is expanding its garment-making operations to Haiti as the anchor tenant in a new 617-acre industrial park being created in the country’s underdeveloped northern region. For the first time, Haiti’s 2 million-a-week T-shirt-stitching industry will also include the country’s one and only knit and dyeing mill with Sae-A pumping 6,000 tons of ground water a day for its huge export operations.

Walmart will start providing free shipping online for 60,000 items if you purchase it online. It’s a pretty bold move for the upcoming holiday season well under way. It will push the small retailers to find ways to boost their sales. Walmart is coming on pretty aggressive to get more consumers to come online and boost their online sales. Most retailers including Sears, Jc Penny, and others are already providing free shipping.

Big retailer WalMart will start selling the e reader Nook at the
Walmart Stores. I don’t why they never did this kinda of a deal with Walmart before, the nook
is sold at the Best Buy stores already, Walmart is huge and Nook would be getting
huge amount of sales power with coming together with Walmart.

Walmart is already a cheap place to shop. I have been to many Walmarts and
they have a gorilla buying power higher than anyone I have seen. And now
it seems like Walmart is about to trim down prices on most of its

Wal-mart are set to close their optical lab in Ohio that employs around 650 workers.
