IBM to cut 5,000 jobs
Ibm is ready to cut 5,000 jobs in the US. It will be mainly in the global services business from what I have heard. They are trying to reduce spending and improve productivity.

Home Depot, Sprint, Caterpillar job cuts
Sprint – Nextel is laying off about 8,000 jobs in the first quarter. Home depot stating to cut 7000 jobs and close it’s smaller expo chains as the recession continue to hurt the housing market. Caterpillar will also cut 20,000 jobs.
