Social network giant facebook took a small beating in the stock market after missing estimates when it comes to revenue. Is social network advertising the next big thing, most advertisers will question that as the fall out of facebook continues.

I have seen ad’s on tv’s, but something is different. Most retailers are stating to go on facebook to check out the new promo’s they have online. That’s how powerful facebook has become, they don’t state to go on their website, but go ahead and go to facebook and check out their new hot deals online, social media is def doing great.

The biggest new’s of last week and this week is the IPO of the
biggest social network Facebook. From the mishap of the release
of the Ipo to the recent drop in the stock price. The over evaluation
of Facebook has finally taken its toll. From stock trader’s
who already sold their stake when the price was high probably
are enjoying the glass of wine while the buyer’s who came in late
are either screwed and might have to become more patient in the
price that might either go even lower or higher?

Many big time retailers are getting on Facebook to promote christmas ads to lure more online customers. It is prime retail advertising site that lures many facebook members to check out new deals that retailers are offering this christmas year.

Facebook will now sell Amazon giftcards on their website and you can send that
giftcard directly to anyone on Facebook as a gift. This will not ony boost Amazon
sales, but other online retailers will jump on this bandwagon from what I can
see.

As anyone here knows, the power of social sites are Facebook and ofcourse Twitter. Those
two private companies are where most retailers are and will start looking to advertise
their products. Social media is only growing, and it will only get bigger as time
progresses. Forget news, people go on social media sites more than care about the
news these days.
